Former president Mary McAleese: Seminaries in Ireland should be 'gay friendly'
I am tired of that well-educated woman blaming the Church for being
homophobic as if Jesus himself is innocent of it. I want her to blame both. And
her Catholicism teaches that the Church is Jesus with us which is why the Church
is regarded as infallible. The Church homophobia comes from a homophobic man who
thought he was infallible and who thought his violent evil Bible was infallible.

I think the burkini should be allowed and I can see why a woman would wear one
for skincare. As for the burka and certain religious outfits worn by Catholic
extremists such as the unkempt beards and hideous robes worn by the likes of the
Franciscan Friars of the Renewal which disturb people and harm integration Id
ban them

Patron Saint of Paedophile Priests?
It has already happened. The Vatican itself thought Padre Pio was molesting
women. It was sure of it and then went back on it when it seen how popular Pio
had become. St Joseph Calasanz was discovered to have covered up clerical abuse.
St Don Bosco
quotes can be found online in which he admits to having an attraction for little
boys

Yes Grace I agree. If one really thinks God is love then God will do the right
thing whether asked or not. To get a saint to influence him is saying the saint
is better than him. The saint thing is really just a cynical Catholic ploy to
attract people who want to have their other gods. They just call their gods
saints. People forget as well that pagan gods with their flaws and limits are
more like saints than gods. Catholicism is pagan.

That's Tim Stanley. I have had a number of battles with him through the comments
on his articles in the Telegraph. What disturbed me this morning is that the
sceptic lady gave the well-known proofs that Mother Teresas miracle cure of
Monica Besra was fake and that the Vatican manipulated the evidence and Stanley
showed no reaction and tellingly didn't deal with what she said but went off
making out that occurrences that people think are strange such as surviving
accidents but which are not in a fact strange are miracles. He knows fine well
religion is bunkum but waffles away and does not want to say. He made no sense.

The Entertainer opens in Belfast CastleCourt: No Harry Potter figures, no
Halloween stuff... what parents say about city's toy store with a difference
belfasttelegraph.co.uk
Those who think that Harry Potter and troll dolls do harm mean that the harm
is subtle for they hold that Satan likes to act and look good and does evil bit
by bit so that nobody can see how they have caused the harm. What people must
ask is this. What right have I to say demons use such things or even exist when
it leads to accusing others of wittingly or unwittingly promoting the most evil
power in the universe? That is extremist and dangerous. It is too big of a thing
to get wrong if it is wrong, The Bible is vehemently anti-occult or anything
that leads to it so the shop is just being truly Christian.

Official is often in the eye of the beholder. Catholics think official
Christianity is Catholicism while Mormons would beg to differ.

Yes. I find that with religious revelations supposedly from God that command
violence, nobody worries about them until some people start obeying those
revelations. The Koran has to take the blame for some Islamist violence same as
the Bible version of God has to take some blame for the religious crimes
committed by Christians - eg people being killed during exorcisms and the
violece of the Lord's Resistance Army. And what about Christians who claim to be
pacifist while they look forward to fighting for Jesus at Armageddon?

He probably thinks political correctness will protect him as the liberal
nonsense spurts out of his mouth. I wouldn't be too hard on him though for the
pope has a bigger voice and is just as ridiculous. The pope would deny that
Choudary is a Muslim and a cleric.

Catholics who supported the Catholic Church in the dark ages despite its
violence and often because of it were like turkeys voting for Christmas.
Religions that invite violence against each other invite it against the most
vulnerable people that it classes its own as well.

To say a violent scripture is from God IS EXTREMIST. Not all extremism need be
like ISIS.

Don't forget that Choudry has indeed killed people with words but what about
Christians who RETROSPECTIVELY kill people with words too. To say the Bible is
authored by God and that the writers only wrote what God wanted is to agree with
the murders and genocide commanded by God. Jesus knew about that and had no
problem with it. Be careful what you worship!

It Takes More Faith to be an Atheist

Life can come from non life when a tiny seed can draw in dead nutrients and turn them into part of itself and grow. Just because we cannot make life from scratch does not mean it cannot be done
Givenomoney2catholicchurch replied to Darren Romain's comment.
Knowing right from wrong is one thing but applying it is another. When a
religion says God uses evil to do good with it it is in fact saying that evil
and good are compatible. Is it any wonder that girl was confused about right and
wrong?

Relativism is a cult yes and a poison and people need more relativism detectors.
Relativism is like a supernatural thing. People imagine they can make something
moral just by believing it is moral. That is pure magic. That is why I say that
though it does not necessarily look religious or spiritual it is. And as an
atheist, I am well aware that Islam with its doctrine that morality is only
moral for God says so and Christianity with its Jesus who made stoning women to
death right in one era and allegedly made it wrong in this one are both
relativist.
