"HONOUR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER"

God gave the ten commandments in the Bible.  It reads, “Honour thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land that God giveth thee” (Exodus 20:12, Deuteronomy 5:16).

So you use your parents as a longevity pill.  That is not honouring.   It shows Jesus lied that love of God and love of neighbour sums up the ten commandments.  And being in the land given by God is a reward too.  That goes with how the land was stolen from other nations and was based on pure racism.

Why though do you live longer if you respect your parents?

Well they had the power to complain about you to the elders so you could be stoned to death according to Deuteronomy 21:18-21.

18 If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have chastened him, will not heed them,

19 then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city, to the gate of his city.

20 And they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’

21 Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear.”

This reminds you of Matthew 18 where Jesus says a brother can be rejected by you if he will not repent of his sin against you even when the Church asks him to.  Jesus said to let him be a gentile to you or a tax collector.  The laws about murder in the Bible are liberal about killing non-Jews.  And tax collectors were often executed by zealots as traitors.  Jesus was thinking about that wording.  His meaning could have been very dark indeed, very dark.
