DON'T FORGET THAT FEW SCIENTISTS REGARD THE CHRISTIAN TYPE GOD AS IN ANY WAY CREDIBLE

This is taken from Stenger's The God Hypothesis.

"In a poll taken in 1998, only 7 percent of the members of the US National Academy of Sciences, the elite of American scientists, said they believed in a personal God." That says something.  Plus a personal God is not necessarily a Bible type God or Muslim type one.  That says even more! 

"DNA and anatomical connections between humans and other animals (and even plants), and the use of animals in medical research falsify the hypothesis of a God who created humans as a distinct life-form". 

So God made me in his image is definitely out.  So what is the point of God?  Religion is really using it for something else though it says it is about recognising you as a child of God made like him!  Science shows that no God is going to listen to our prayers or make us his children!  We would need to be his image for that!
