THE POPE REMOVES THE PERMISSION FOR CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FROM THE CATECHISM AND THUS SHOWS CONTEMPT FOR BIBLE TEACHING AND CATHOLIC TRADITION

2018 Pope Francis abrogates Catholic doctrine about capital punishment being wrong – it is now totally inadmissible - and he lies that this contradiction is a development of doctrine not a repudiation of Catholic doctrine

The notion that LGBT should care about the pope, Jesus or anybody’s approval of gay lovemaking is homophobic and a sign that they have internalised homophobia. However, the pope needs to declare the Leviticus verse null and void. “God said: If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)” It makes no sense to admit that capital punishment is morally intolerable and murder and have the Catechism of the Church refer to this verse which blames the victims for their own murder. A revision is needed. It is grossly improper that the liturgy should honour the Old Testament when it is very liberal with approval for capital punishment and commands that they be stoned. It is dishonest how the liturgy is selective with readings to hide and conceal the violence.

The Catechism is open to recognising that condemnation of homosexuality is only an opinion:

Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained.

Unexplained means it could be a gift of God.

The only way and the fastest way to force a development of doctrine on the subject of gay sex being morally good and a sacred act of love is to ignore and oppose current church teaching and that will lead people to see that if there is a Holy Spirit then that is his will. Some say that same sex marriage is not a sin but a sacrament for it is only church leaders not the Church itself that ban it. The Church is yet to accept what its real doctrine is and that takes developing. It didn’t know 50 years ago that its authentic teaching is that capital punishment is never justified.
