CHRISTIANS LIE THAT HISTORY SAYS JESUS' TOMB WAS EMPTY AND WHY SOME SAY IT IS A MERE THEORY

The case for saying Jesus’ tomb was empty is a theory.

# Saying the tomb was empty is a theory in the same way as saying there is no God is a reason evolution is a theory.  One says the empty allows us to explain it by saying Jesus rose. The other says that without God luck made us what we are and evolution is our word for that luck.

# We don’t know how closely the tomb was checked.  So was it really empty?  There were reports of instability so did the body vanish under a pile of rubble or dust?

# If it is not a theory that it was found empty, it is a theory that it was emptied when there was nobody about. People only guess when it became empty.

# Once you say that something is overriding the way you would expect things to happen you have nowhere to draw the line. If Jesus could have risen, it could also have happened that some vision obscured the body from view while it was still in the tomb. Everything becomes a theory.

#I t is a theory to say that somebody took the body as much as it is to say that God raised the body up.

# The records saying it was found empty are only hearsay. They are no affidavits or cross-examined statements.

A theory has to have merit in explaining data.  The empty tomb explains nothing.  It is merely a guess not a theory.  It does not help explain how Jesus appeared alive for Jesus could have been stolen from the tomb and still resurrected.
